I've K-ed.

Yap. K box till the wee hours.. Managed to keep myself awake till 3am. woke up by a phone call.. 9.45am!! gosh! lucky me. Had Regi not call me, I'll be late for my 11am appt at AWP. Well, I managed to reach on time. Feels great to be back at the place Im so familiar with. I've been goin back every now and then for the past 4 year. ya, u heard me, 4 years!!! Don wan ppl to feel Im a leech and lazy. Further more I've declared to a number of my AWP colleagues of not wanting to go back again... Pai seh ah.. its not like I din put the effort to look for one. I did! DP's still considering my job application, and I cant affort the time to wait any longer. The later I start the lesser time I have to work, by then it will be too short a time span for anyone to want employ me if DP decided not to want me anymore. So there.. AWP again. Got Lay har to go too. Dan was telling me ALL the project that we will have a chance of getting involve in. The list goes on.. interesting works, haa. but i doubt we can do all within the 7 weeks work. Still its so generous and kind of him to give us a brief but concised run through of everything AWP is doing now. Dan go on saying that this time round they will giving us more designing task, we are not draughtpersons anymore, so it will be a good learning experience for us. Kinda freaks me out thou, Haaa. Wasnt expecting to do any of those.. But I suppose it will be gd opportunity to see how 'creative' and design I am.

DDP (3d rendering) is looking for potential perm staff that has kin interest in Architecture and min basic knowledge of 3d rendering , better still if u are a pro, if not ample opportunity for you to learn. Intership ppl can also apply. The Boss, Mark, is a great person to be working with. So any candidates interested, or if you think you have any ideal person in mind, do drop me a msg ya.

Exams Over! then its Mambo time!!

This's gonna be a quick one. JUst woke up like 3pm and I'll be off for my K marathon soon. heee
Last night was crazy! BU paper ended at 7pm (note: din get much sleep the day b4, last min muggin). Together with all the poly uni clique, its off to Vivo, white dog cafe, for dinner. Y.Q was there too, kind of him to fetch us gals frm sch while the rest took bus.. very lucky too cause it was pouring damn heavily la. After dinner was desert at Haagen Daz.. haa.. guys don seem to be full.. I was already bloated after having pasta for dinner.. kinda just tag along drinking free ice water withour ordering anything.
10.30pm. time to head off to Zouk. jo n me met up with Qiuru and Huijing at the entrance. Quite surprise to spot some other archi ppl there too. Haaa.
Anyway.. its time to party!! hop between Velvet and Zouk mambo.. din really drink much.. Vodca rebina, Vodca lime + 7up.. cant really taste anything but the soft drink it self.. bleah.. anyway i can get high without any drinks from dancing.. heee. so doesnt matter. quite pissed with having to Q so long for a drink.. well, i nvr need to do this b4, guys always get the drink for us.. no guys yesterday, so bobian.. not very high la overall, my gal friends aint very crazy. heee.. Mambo was o-k.. love RnB velvet more, more beat to dance to.. SO its dance dance dance till the light came up. 4am.. I cant feel my legs any more.. why do we have to wear heels to dance... haaa. it pays to be vain.. Home, bathed.. drop dead at 5am..

Called Danny, colleague from Awp. Haaa. Seems that I'll still be back there working again. Was told I wll have more interesting stuff to work on this time round. We'll see. anyway the pay will be the best among the the jobs. Mark msn me too, his in need of a 3d perm staff n some help too. Got layhar n regi to go together.. So its 11am tom.. be having a chat with the both of them.

Ya.. So no more Aedas, no more DP. Im back at AWP. still be starting work at 2nd may.

11am on my computer>> checked NUS mail>> no RIBA news>> 1pm>> still waiting>> off for lunch>> 2pm>> getting impatient, not started on studies yet>> emailed Hwee lee to find out why the delay>> 3pm still infront of the computer>> hwee lee replied>> '' judging from the progress, the RIBA presentation for the rest will start on tuesday, check your email later''....

AHHH!!!! %!~$%*#?#!

We were reminded again and again to check our email this morning, to see if we are the selected onces by the RIBA panels for presentation thats is supposely starting right about now.. and ALL this waiting for nothing. The relevant department should for the very least have the courtesy to send a email to inform everyone about the delay. But no, they assumed we have all the time in the world to wait for something thats not gonna happen. So inconsiderate of them!! There are still pending exams to prepare for!!! Because of their incorrigible action, I've wasted my entire day away.. It aint fun to wait you know.. Its like waiting for death penalty..

Presenting for RIBA is nothing near easy. RIBA has every power to pull up your grade or fail you. And judging from my works, I am not confident in dealing with the RIBA at all.. So you see, people here are anxiously waiting for the result posting of the name list, hoping that our name will not appear. the mind will only be at rest until I get to see the list. Just let me know if Im selected. If so, just let me get it done and over with. If not, then great! The unsettleness Im feeling now is irritating.. so distracting.. then how on earth would I able to concentrate on my studies..

If I have not been so pissed till I send a email to Hweelee to get some answers, I think I will still be wasting time waiting..

I found another reason to hate NUS..

Anger released thou my words.. I feel better now. Shall not get too affected.. anyway am SOO looking forward to WednesdaY!! Weeee!.. officially freed for holiday on wed 7pm. Dinner appt with Y.Q n ppl @ Holland, then its straight to Mambo!!.. catch a good night sleep .. thu rise n shine.. get my study room tidied.. then its off to Orchard for my Kbox marathon 7pm to 3am!! ..whooppy!!! I wonder I will still have any energy left in me to go ahead with my Sentosa trip. :)

Btw, I'm applying for DP. I cannot convince myself to accept the absurd offer made by Aedas..

I've bought my HK air tickets. Yeah! The date n time are fixed. No detours, decided Im too broke to fly anywhere else.

Guess what, I only used one night to study my Arch Con paper for today. wahaaa.. Im the best!.. I was happy slacking my time away until I realised I have not much time left. Got Lay har to stay over again. hee. cant study alone la. need someone to force me to study or I'll be back at my maple again. damn hopeless.

I only did the tutorials n past yr paper. But that was more than enough to score. ALL questions identical to tutorials. how cool is that! A.. but apparently one night of memorising isnt adequate to remember all. On the bright side, Im definitly going to pass this. Wahaa.. Second section tougher thou is managable> details drawing, similar to what we did in Poly.. did not study for it, just kinda do from memory.

Hey enough bout the test!.. lunch was at Holland's Hog's Breath Cafe, western cuisine, cafe at day, pubbar by night. The food was so-so, pretty high on the price tag for the kind of food served. But the serving is huge! Had it for lunch at 3pm and Im still feeling bloated!! Am gonna skip my dinner. gosh.. feeling fat.. think I will die doing tom's kickboxing.. been weeks since I last went.

Thats bout all today. gonna Maple my night away, and maybe enjoy some movies @ crunchyroll.com. (do check it out! way better than Youtube) Friday is SLACK day! Yeah!

I had medium, but there seems to be no difference in comparision to Angela's medium raw... duh.. my dear can do better than that, and with just the use of a microwave n some pepper seasoning.

I have an Issue..

I was looking forward to my 2k job but looks like its all my dreams now. Was at Aedas with Har, Geo n C.Y to negotiate pay and taking down of particulars. Everything went smoothy until the HR staff drop us the bomb.. 1.2K, no OT play, no CPF.. OMG!! my jaw almost drop at that instance!! cant believe what I just heard! Never in my life have I get such low pay b4... I explained that Har and I had actual real working experiences, and come on la.. we are poly graduates! The pay that they are giving is not reflecting that at all. I wont be complaining if I am too like C.Y, a uni archi student from JC with no what so ever experience and cert to be asking for more. But hey!.. I am fully qualified and capable of doing the exact SAME thing as a full time staff, so 1.2K is damn shitty degrading for my standard. Why do I bother to study in NUS then?! to get a lower pay that what I have b4?!.. you must be crazy..

Anyway.. the HR lady then go on explaining that we are here for the experience, to gain valuable skills(yah right.. all archi firm some how does the same thing..) ... and we are just temp stuff.. not working long.. blah blah.. that they can only max. pay us 1.5K.. thats their final call.. What makes my blood boil is her comment saying that, yes, we may get better pay some where else, but doing filing, paper work, printing and useless stuff.

DUH!!!! when DO we ever do that kind of stuff!! come on!! I was a Draftperson, a 3D renderer, I helped in presentation work, under a Design Director in a respectable firm, AWP!!! I really feel like punching her face for belittleing us!!!!! Slap her!! Pui!!

Thats the end of the unfriendly episode.. Fake a smile and then off home...

Do I have to work at Aedas?... Well, its a established big firm, handling the marina IR, there's project at Dubai and lots more.. so should be quite exciting if Im assigned to do those project.. a nice resume too.. the pay for Perm staff is really attractive, so be good to extablish some connection now.. transportation is convinient from my house to work n back... haiz..... come to think of it Im going to work for like 8 weeks?.. I cant really ask for a higher pay cheaque too...
Hm.. maybe I shouldnt be that money face. Its job offer too good to miss over a few hundred dollars I guess.. think by the end of this blog, I already have a answer in mind. Haa.. see I found a good reason to blog, it helps to straighten my thoughts while I type them all out. :)

If alls well, I will be starting a few days later.. 2nd May, Wed... apparently the pay is easier to count for the HR ppl... hm... and I was thinkin of starting ealier.. oh well... better than no work.. Cannot go back to AWP again. must leave comfort zone!

Gosh! 11pm.. need to start mugging.. haven start yet.. Jia lat.. Friday paper.. also no idea what time is the exam.. to ask later.. argh.. k. im gone.


17.04.07: P3- FINAL CRIT. Studio 12 (technology core)

Finally I'm done with design. Whoppy!!! Yeah!!! All that's left is 2 papers and Im a freeman. Who Ho!! Hmm..... thou not exactly, gonna start work at Aedas right after my exam. Im not complaining. Fact is I cant wait to start work! One day more of work means another days earnings to spend in HK! wahaaa... Lets see.. exam ends 25th april, work starts 26th april, ends 22nd June.. thereafter 26th june flying off to HK, summer school ends 31st july, NO IDEA when I will be back. Heee. thinking of detouring before coming back.. hm.. think think.

Got my digi cam on Sunday. Double whoppy! Fujifilm F31fd. Humble looking but powerful. Cost me (hm.. my dad. hee..) 499 bucks promotional price(was 699 before), comes with a travel tripod, extra lithium batt and a 1G card. What I love about this, is the high ISO goin up to 3200. Cool! then theres picture stabaliser, so gone are the days of blurry pics. I like that Fujifilm's cam function is simple and easy to navigate, not complicated like some other brands. Best of all, power batt that takes up to 580 pics with one charge!!! That I like!! on the down side, do hope for more optical zoom.
